Discussion 8-Logic and Critical Thinking

Q For this week, I want you to create a valid argument on some issue that you think is important. (Remember that a valid argument is one in which it is impossible for the premises to be true and the conclusion false.) Put that argument into standard form and symbolize it using the tools from Ch. 6. For any of the symbols that we are using in this chapter that you don't have access to on your key board, use another symbol that you do have access to and give a key. For example, for the hook or horse shoe symbol, use '<' if you don't know where the hook is on your keyboard. Make sure to give a dictionary and translate it. Finally, while you should have a valid argument, do you think it is a good one? Why or why not?
